PLAY SENSIBLY - BLUE SQUARE CASINO

RESPONSIBLE GAMING

We want our players to have fun while gambling at Blue Square, so we encourage responsible gaming. We allow our players to define their own limits of responsible gaming, and then we help with prompts and time-outs to protect the boundaries they have established.

Gambling should be an exciting and pleasurable experience. Borrowing money to play, spending above your budget or using money allocated for other purposes is not only unwise but can lead to significant problems at a later stage for yourself and others around you. We want you to enjoy Blue Square, so gamble responsibly and have fun!

Are you in control?

It is Blue Square's hope that players manage their gambling expenditure to ensure both enjoyment and safety. We post this section as a reminder to play safe and to play wise.

Getting Assistance

There are many organisations that can provide support and assistance to individuals who develop a problem with gambling, and we recommend that players contact a self-help organisation for additional advice.

The following websites offer advice and guidance. Each one contains helpline numbers and an e-mail address that you may contact if you would like confidential advice and support

Managing Your Playing

For players who enjoy gambling frequently, it is not uncommon to overspend their budget some of the time. We advise that specific budget plans be made to ensure your gambling expenditure is affordable.

Sometimes people deny the extent of their own problems and seek help only in crisis. Ask yourself honestly and if you think you might have a problem, set yourself the goal of stopping gambling for two weeks or a month as a test. If you are unable to achieve this, you could have a problem and might benefit from discussing your situation with a counsellor.

Limiting Your Personal Expenditure

Blue Square provides tools to help you control your gambling. You can establish limits on the amount you deposit. Requests to tighten your limits will take effect immediately, whereas requests to loosen those limits must await a seven-day cooling off period before taking effect.

Self-Exclusion

If you believe you have a gambling problem or just wish to take an enforced break from gaming, Blue Square gives you the power to temporarily or permanently exclude yourself from playing games Blue Square. If you choose to exclude yourself permanently, you will be barred from playing games in Blue Square forever. If you opt for a temporary exclusion, you may apply for reinstatement at a later date. Temporary exclusions are for a minimum of six months. Please note that if you use the 1 day self exclusion player protection function a total of five times, you will be permanently excluded from BlueSQ Casino.

Managing the length of time you play

It is sometimes easy to lose track of time whilst gambling. In order to provide you with regular reminders, Blue Square displays a message at hourly intervals. During a gaming session, after each hour a message is displayed on screen clearly advising you that you have been playing for one hour, plus the total hours already elapsed in the session. In order to continue gaming you will need to click OK.

Preventing Under Age Gambling You must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age to gamble in the country in which you reside, whichever is older, to play at Blue Square. We undertake checks to ensure that no person under legal age has access to our live gaming facilities. Provision of inaccurate or dishonest information about a player's age will result in forfeiture of any winnings and may result in civil and/or criminal prosecution.
